Quality Improvement Coordinator, Perioperative Services
Job Description
- Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of quality initiatives across Outpatient Surgical Sites.
- Provides effective project management/leadership to ensure completion of Medical Center Quality and Performance Improvement to meet goals and objectives and regulatory standards set by TJC and AAAHC.
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrates clinical expertise in specific patient population(s) related to projects managed.
- Technical Execution: Demonstrates technical execution in collection, verification, and analysis of data.
- Leadership & Training/Development: Provides leadership and training/development to project team members.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Communicates effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel.
- Willing to travel between locations, as part of the regular working day.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BSN required; MSN preferred.
Licensure: Current Virginia nursing licensure required.
Experience: At least 3–5 years of perioperative nursing experience with progressive quality improvement or leadership responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods and repetitive motion (computer work). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
