Job Description
Summary
This position is located with the FMWR Seward Military Resort located in Seward, Alaska.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives may be paid.
Up to 25% recruitment or relocation and/or retention incentive may be paid (service agreement required). Recruitment incentives are applicable to newly hired individuals/rehired individuals. Relocation incentives are applicable to current, regular full-time NAF employees accepting a position in a different geographical location with no break in service.
Duties
Recommends and carries out instructions and directives as necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
Reviews programs to identify strengths and weaknesses. Recommends or carries out corrective measure as appropriate.
Reviews financial reports, plans, costs, and budget. Assists in the marketing and promotion of the activity.
Ensures the safeguarding of the facility and assets.
Supervises assigned staff.
Requirements

Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
One (1) year of work experience managing or directing the activities of the type of business (i.e. resort, hotel, tourism industry) to be managed.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
Possess one (1) year of experience in hotel or front desk management.
Possess one (1) year of experience in campground/RV Park operations.
Possess one (1) year of experience with property management system software.
Possess one (1) year working in FMWR.
Possess experience with directing and/or programming outdoor activities and events.
Possess experience in scheduling personnel.
Possess demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Possess one (1) year of experience in administrative work
Possess experience developing risk assessments and implementing safety controls.
Possess experience developing and implementing effective training programs for new and existing staff.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Area of Consideration
This job is open to candidates who reside within the local commuting area. (Seward, Alaska and surrounding communities within 150 miles of the resort).

PCS Costs
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
