Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Supervisory Realty Specialist position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Real Estate Division. The location is Fort Worth, TX. Learn more about this agency Duties Serve as a Supervisory Realty Specialist responsible for managing the efficient and effective accomplishment of the planning and execution of major projects, directing, coordinating, training, reviewing and supervising all activities of the Section. As a Technical Advisor and Quality Control (QC) Manager, will also be responsible for providing guidance as needed for real estate analyses prepared for proposed and authorized studies and projects. Responsible for leading and directing all section activities involving assigned Real Estate Program requirements. Review and monitor overall program execution and makes adjustments as necessary based on circumstances and priorities. Manage and perform work involving project milestones and budgets. Serve as mentor and technical resource to other Real Estate Divisions across the Corps, providing training and guidance to staff as appropriate. Appointment may be subject to a 1-year supervisory probationary period. Must possess a valid State driver's license to operate motor vehicles in accomplishing assigned duties. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing the planning or execution of major real estate acquisition, management and/or disposal projects; 2) Negotiating legal agreements for the acquisition, management and/or disposal of federal real property interests; AND 3) Interpreting or analyzing real estate regulations to perform work related to civil works or military projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
