The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

A Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Customer Intervention Support team is part of a high-performance team responsible for the New Product Introduction (NPI) of mobility products for 4G/5G solutions. The TPM interfaces with the customer at engineering and management levels. NPI spans activities in internal labs, customer labs and field environments.

What you will learn and contribute to

The TPM will provide technical direction to an engineering team and maintain overall responsibility for the technical execution of the new product introduction project. To successfully execute, the TPM will implements best practices, feedback project experience, interlock with different functions within Nokia, and drive internal teams to meet customer requirements.

As part of our team, you will:
  • Develop test strategies, plans and procedures for introducing new capabilities into customer lab and field environments.
  • Provide technical direction to engineering team supporting all aspects of NPI.
  • Lead technical investigations on customer critical issues and provide in-depth technical analysis and troubleshooting support to the project team.
  • Present or coordinate presentations to the customer for activity planning, status updates and results reviews.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact to R&D and global NPI teams for investigating and prioritizing customer issues, ensuring fault corrections are delivered according to project needs.

Your skills and experience

You have:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years technical experience with Nokia product family.
  • In depth knowledge of 5G air interface and 5G architecture, including familiarity with ORAN and CRAN, that includes troubleshooting complex performance and stability issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interfacing with the customer at various levels of their organization.

It would be nice if you also had:
  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated technical and project management experience working on complex projects in a dynamic, high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 3G and 4G air interface and architecture
  • Previous technical experience in a performance analysis, product troubleshooting, or new product introduction role for wireless infrastructure products.
  • Ability to work systematically to understand and resolve complex issues.
  • Self-motivated well-organized individual who can prioritize, multitask, and demonstrate goal-oriented decision making.
  • Demonstrated experience as a successful team player with positive mindset, open minded and willingness to learn.
