The Expertise and Skills we are Looking for

• Proven expertise around front ends for Web (Angular, NodeJS), or iOS (Swift), or Android (Kotlin,) architecting, developing multi-tier internet facing web and mobile applications, APIs.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, Mathematics, Physics (or equivalent)
• Our technology stack is varied and constantly evolving. A great start would involve being adept at the art and science of building digital experiences in one of the core stacks (Web, iOS or Android) across NodeJS, Java, Angular, TypeScript, Mobile Native (Swift, Kotlin), automation tools deployed via continuous delivery infrastructure (Jenkins, Concourse) in a cloud-based environment (AWS - Amazon Web Service or Azure).
• For our aspiring iOS engineers, your skills will span the following:
• Experience developing publicly available iOS apps using Swift 3/4 and/or Objective-C supported by RESTful web services.
• Verifiable experience as a domain specialist using Swift, Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, UIKit, and XCode in a large, enterprise environment, preferably as part of a team of iOS engineers
• Your passion in crafting amazing experiences on iOS using Apple's Human Interface Guidelines using your proven understanding of functional programming and reactive patterns.
• Your hands of experience working with Android SDK
• Your passion in creating slick experiences using Google's Material Design guidelines using your strong understanding of functional programming and reactive patterns.
• Your deep knowledge of Android design patterns including Clean Architecture. Experience building multi-module Android apps is a big plus. Experience with MVVM/MVI is also a plus.
• Your knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies used in creating performant, resilient, and robust Android apps
• Good understanding of Android Jetpack and open-source libraries like Retrofit, and OkHttp to build modern, architecturally compliant, and future-ready apps
• Good understanding of Android's accessibility features and experience building accessible experiences on Android
• Experience with Coroutines, Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM), and Jetpack Compose is a plus
• Good understanding of Android Architecture Components as well as open-source libraries like Retrofit, Picasso, and OkHttp to build modern, architecturally compliant, and future-ready apps

The Team

This team builds towards Fidelity's digital presence. Our engineers enable or lead teams to develop omni channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence on a cloud-based infrastructure. You will provide technology expertise, leadership and influencing skills to be accountable for overall technology strategy.

You will participate and/or lead initiatives that supply ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn modern technologies and languages, and continue to learn while providing coaching, mentorship and driving talent development across our engineering teams. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in an iterative and fast-paced environment.
