Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country. The 31ST Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have 6-months experience working in the Home Fuels Accounting Office, NAF Accounting Office Lead/Manager experience or equivalent. Must be able to supervise small teams. Must have experience in work which provided a comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting; ability to prepare financial statements and reports. Knowledge and understanding of the regulations, guides, and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of accounting situations. Proficient in the use of a wide range of computer software including spreadsheets, word processing and graphics. Knowledge of budgeting, double entry bookkeeping or NAF accounting. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Knowledge of Italian invoices and billing desirable. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required.
