NES Health seeks an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our practice at Saint Michael’s Medical Center located in Newark, New Jersey.    About the Hospital  100 Bed Community Hospital  Teaching Hospital  EPIC EMR    Coverage includes:?  Radiology during the day and telerad at night?  Interventional Radiology?  Psychiatry?  Anesthesiology??  Line Service?  Ultrasound??  GYN (no OB)?  Hospitalist?  ENT?  Cardiology?  Neurology (9-5 M-F, not on Weekends)?    About the Program and Hours  29 Bed Emergency Department  38,000 Annual Visit ED  15% admission rate from the ED  EMPs: 7a-7p and 7p-7a Sun – Sat; plus 1p-9p Mon  EM APPs: 7a-7p and 10a-10p Sun – Sat; plus 3p-2a Mon-Fri    Qualifications  Active New Jersey license in the state or ability to attain unrestricted state license  Candidate Must be NP BE/BC   Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and/or PALS    About the Community   Newark, New Jersey is on the cusp of a renaissance, and in many ways, the state’s largest city does seem to be gaining momentum.  Within the city, there are several points of interest, including the NJ Performing Arts Center, the Prudential Center and a number of colleges, including a Rutgers University campus and New Jersey Institute of Technology.
