Locum to Perm Anesthesia Physician

We are seeking a highly qualified Anesthesia Physician for a locum to perm opportunity at a community hospital in Rockport, ME. This position offers a combination of day shifts and home call responsibilities, including weekend 24-hour home call coverage.  The hospital is a community-based facility with 4 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy sites, and an obstetrics (OB) unit. It is designated as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital averages 10-12 surgical cases per day, with no scheduled pain management cases.  The required procedures for this position include handling both adult and pediatric general surgical cases, as well as performing minor nerve blocks and IV regional anesthesia. The physician will also be responsible for plexus anesthesia, spinal and epidural anesthesia, and regional anesthesia. Additionally, there will be obstetrical cases, acute pain management procedures, and the insertion of central lines and arterial lines. The role requires expertise in the evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues to ensure patient safety and effective care. Requirements:  Board Certified (ABA) - REQUIRED Maine State License - REQUIRED (providers willing to obtain a state license are accepted) BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications - REQUIRED  Rockport is a picturesque town on Maine's beautiful mid-coast, known for its scenic landscapes, harbor views, and vibrant local culture.
