This position is a Not to exceed 1 year. this position Expires 09/30/2027 Learn more about this agency Duties The Staff Physical Therapist is assigned to the Physical Therapy Department within Pain Management and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS). Incumbent has the ability to use professional knowledge effectively and must possess initiative, tact, resourcefulness, and good judgment in exercising authority. The Staff Therapist is responsible for completing neuromusculoskeletal evaluations and treatments. They are required to apply evaluation methodologies and treatment theories in the provision of care to a vast array of functional impairments and patients. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Preferred Experience: 1-2 years preferred experience as a Physical Therapist. Physical Requirements: Must be physically, mentally and emotionally able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to themselves or others.
