Job Description
Aspirus Health is seeking a Board-Certified Physician to join our team in Wausau, Wisconsin as our
Regional Medical Director for Tertiary Care.
This dynamic position offers the opportunity for
physicians to utilize their leadership and management skills while allowing them to keep practicing
medicine within a grateful, rural health community
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
This position will be 80%
administrative and 20% clinical (negotiable).
Play a vital role in building a partnership between
physicians and administration
Develop and implement policies and procedures that increase efficiency
within the hospital, while ensuring the highest standard of patient care and access possible
Join a
medical group with a shared leadership structure that pairs physician and administrative leaders in
a dyad model to promote collaboration throughout our entire system
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Participate in general development and execution of local
strategic operating plan, pillar(s), and other growth initiatives.
Collaborate with hospital leaders
to execute and achieve AMG/AWHβs strategic operation plan, pillar initiatives, and engagement
activities.
Collaborate with system, medical group, hospital, and clinic leadership in quality and
patient safety initiatives.
Lead change management within AMG and AWH.
Manage daily concerns by
addressing and resolving conflicts that arise.
Organizational culture: define, lead, and serve as
the role model for an organizational culture that embraces quality, access, process improvement,
collaboration, trust, and accountability.
Participate in credentialing process to include quality
and peer review functions.
Regulatory compliance: ensure compliance with all Joint Commission
standards and requirements, including the development and implementation of a Performance
Improvement program.
Collaborate with the Regional Clinic Director and hospital administration in
overseeing day-to-day operations related to physician and APC practices.
Act as Liaison between
Aspirus Medical Group and private practices within the central region.
Administrative and clinical
call responsibility and frequency TBD.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
MD/DO/DPM Degree and completion of
a residency program within the United States.
3-5 years of clinical and leadership experience
preferred.
Current Aspirus-employed physicians are encouraged to apply. The selected candidate must
transition to Aspirus as their official Employer of Record.
