Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Duties
Assists in receiving and processing personal and official mail.
Routes mail to organizational segments and individuals; maintains control systems for the accountability of unclassified communications.
Maintains support systems as directories, mail count logs, distribution lists, etc.
Screens mail of assigned receptacles for evidence of non-use, old mail, and incorrectly pitched mail and preparing labels and envelopes.
Performs clerical duties such as storing and distributing internal management documents, maintaining required stock of forms and supplies, maintaining counts of material dispatched.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Seasonal Over Hires will not be allowed annual leave during the period of employment from 1 November to 31 January each year, except in emergencies. Duties may require weekend, holiday, and/or overtime work.
Will be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Incumbent will be required to climb in and out of various vehicles and or trailers carrying extremely heavy bags of packages/mail to load or unload mail.
May be able to obtain and maintain a military motor vehicle operator’s license. Qualified to drive a sedan or van.
As a Seasonal Over Hire, a Local Records/Background check is the only requirement from the local authorities of the host nation or command.
Incumbent is not authorized to receive or handle Registered Mail, materials or other items which would require a security clearance.
Qualifications
Who May Apply: US Citizens
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes operating of various office automation equipment and software, combined with background in customer service and administrative support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You must submit transcripts.
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. This announcement uses the Non-Competitive Temp/Term Appointment Authority to Meet Critical Hiring Needs in the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
