PA needed in California for General Surgery coverage CPH# JOB-2999801

Physician Assistant needed in California for General Surgery coverage. Must be Board Certified, have current DEA, and CA state license. Shifts will be 3 pm-1 am. Will see 20-25 patients per night and patient population is mainly adults, but peds experience is required. Must be comfortable with low/moderate procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement) as well as high risk procedures such as G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement. No surgical first assist. Provider will be supporting the one trauma surgeon on call and responsible for monitoring, managing, and discharging all of the patients on the trauma service.
