Summary
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Superintendent Capitol Building, Assistant Facilities Support Division, Labor Branch. The selected candidate operates motor vehicles to include driving a box truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight(GVW) of 19,500 pounds and performs laborer duties in support of the Capitol Building operations. A CDL is not required.

TOUR OF DUTY: 6:00am to 2:30pm (Monday - Friday)

The selected candidate will operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 19,500 pounds to transport staff, supplies or equipment to and from Capitol Building operations locations.
Major Duties
Motor Vehicle Operations and Maintenance
Loads and unloads materials as necessary
Ensures that cargo items are properly loaded, distributed and secured
Drives staff and/or visitors to and from Capitol Complex and other designated locations
Changes tires, performs battery and brakes checks and keeps oils and gas at the proper vehicle levels
Laborer Duties
Loads and unloads heavy bulky supplies and heavy construction building materials and supplies to and from trucks
Collects trash and debris from the assigned locations and surrounding grounds
Empties trash, garbage and other debris from receptacles located throughout the buildings and the grounds

You must be able to pass a drug test.

4. Must currently possess a good driving record. Possession of a good driving record is included in the suitability process. Maintenance thereof is a condition of continued employment. Failure to maintain a good driving record will result in termination.
