Summary This position is located at The Flight Line. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Learn more about this agency Duties Prepares and serves food items which include, but are not limited to, hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, lemonade drinks, etc. Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Collects sales slips, totals sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Attend Team Member Orientation (TMO) within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually. Must meet state/local age requirements (21) for serving alcohol at the time of appointment. Successful completion of health assessment required. This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis. Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be available to work rotating shifts. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). A qualified candidate must possess the following: Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess three (3) months experience working in a food and beverage environment preparing food and cash handling. ** **In order to be considered Best Qualified, your resume must show that you meet BOTH the minimum qualifications, and the Best Qualified criteria (must be supported by resume and/or supporting documentation uploaded with application). Additional information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Rucker, AL). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
