Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Background Investigation is required. You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable. You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement. You must submit a law school transcript. You must be at least 16 years of age or older. Qualifications To be eligible for this internship ALL of the following requirements must be met: Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens Student Status: Must have completed at least one year of law school before the start of their internship. Background Investigation: You must successfully complete a background check. Volunteer Agreement: Applicants must commit to working 35 to 40 hours per week for at least 8 weeks. The Office is flexible about extending the internship period relative to students' academic commitments. Additional information Salary: Uncompensated. Academic credit available if arranged by the student through the law school. Travel: No travel required. Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses will not be authorized. Selective Service: If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System, or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law.
