General Surgeon - Locum Tenens Opportunity in Pennsylvania

Location: PennsylvaniaAssignment Type: Locum Tenens Shifts Per Month: 20-25 shifts, ongoing Position Overview: We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage across multiple sites. This role includes both clinic and elective OR work, as well as in-house call coverage. Position Highlights: Schedule: Clinic shifts Monday-Friday (2-3 days per week) with OR block time and elective cases; 24-hour clinic + call shifts required at minimum 2 days per week Typical Procedures: Bread and butter general surgery (appendectomy, gallbladder, endoscopy with upper and lower scopes) Rounding: Morning rounding with another surgeon and APP Call Coverage: In-house Requirements: Board Status: Board Certified; Board Eligible Licensure: Pennsylvania licensure is preferred but not required; willing to consider candidates who need to obtain a license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR, PALS, DEA Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred EMR: Cerner and Epic Additional Details: Travel: Mileage reimbursement, airfare, lodging, parking, rental car (mid-size) Patient Demographics: 95% adult, 5% pediatric cases Typical Case Volume: 5 consults per day, 20 outpatients per day, 5-10 scheduled cases per week This locum tenens assignment is ideal for a General Surgeon with flexibility and interest in a high-demand, high-impact role.
