Job Description
Unique opportunity to participate in developing PCCM program in a dream location
Job includes ICU coverage, as well as inpatient/outpatient pulmonary medicine and sleep services
Schedule is 7 days at a time (Mon-Sun), 12hr in-house shifts (0700-1900) covering ICU, as well as inpatient pulmonary consults and some outpatient pulmonary clinic
Open ICU model at this time
No in-house night obligation
Overnight the ICU is covered by hospital medicine, the intensivist is available for phone consults and emergencies as needed
Participate in exciting opportunity developing a community-based pulmonary and sleep medicine practice, oversight of PFT/sleep services
Fill an important unmet need for the community in the area of critical care and pulmonary medicine
Work with dedicated partners committed to delivering high-quality, modern PCCM services to a geographically isolated, rural community in the region with Barton Health System in South Tahoe California and Nevada region
Full time or part time available
Looking specifically for PCCM specialists to help build out pulmonary medicine program, but non-pulmonary CCM specialists will also be considered
1099 income
Excellent compensation, depends on FTE commitment

Opportunity for medical directorship and leadership in developing pulmonary medicine service line
ICU with 8 beds, average census 4-5 (varies with seasonal volume fluctuations)
Pulmonary clinic is under development: commitment, volume and practice is evolving
Ideal candidate will be passionate about living and working in a small, tight-knit community providing equity and access to a diverse set of patients in a rural geographical region, while participating in program development for much needed service lines previously unavailable to the community, and be inspired by living and working in the mountains and in a breathtaking destination
