MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Â Â
Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health field is highly preferred. Â Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Health field appropriate to Substance Abuse Prevention is required AND three years of experience that demonstrates extensive knowledge of alcohol/substance abuse prevention. Â Ability to act as a responsible point of contact to ensure development of the alcohol/substance abuse prevention and intervention program to include research of operations; critical assessment and training evaluation processes and procedures, and development and conduct of training curricula that provides specific and measurable learning objectives. Â
Must have comprehensive knowledge of alcohol/substance abuse prevention, substance abuse treatment programs and its effects on people. Â Skill to: Â establish and maintain effective relationships with, and gain confidence and cooperation of supervisors and managers to accept proposals on complex issues; organize and communicate effectively orally and in writing at briefings and training sessions, with VIP's, media representatives and in professional conferences and training workshops to encourage understanding and acceptance of programming.Â
Skill to review, modify, develop, and implement alcohol/substance abuse prevention and intervention educational training programs that are timely, relevant to military commanders' needs, flexible and sustainable in execution. Â Skill to conduct presentations, and deliver education and training using a variety of techniques and methods on alcohol/substance abuse prevention. Â Skill to prepare and obtain training materials used in alcohol/substance abuse prevention programs to include: lesson plans, resource guides, films, and other sources of information.Â
Knowledge of the Marine Corps Drug Testing Program (DTP), Alcohol and Drug Management Information Tracking System (ADMITS), Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Lab (FTDTL), and/or related drug testing programs and management information systems, office automation systems and processes, computer applications, principles, and techniques. Â Knowledge of computers to input and retrieve data, process documents through word processing, graphics and spreadsheets.Â
Ability to plan and organize events and activities. Â Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to alcohol/substance abuse. Â Knowledge of operating procedures of substance abuse treatment, drug testing, prevention, and command inspection programs. Â Knowledge of the military structure and environment preferred.Â
