Summary

This position is for a Human Resources Specialist for the Total Force & Corporate Operations located at Washington Navy Yard, DC (NAVSEA).
Duties
You will Advise management on recruitment strategies, sources, special programs, recruitment, relocation and retention incentive programs.
You will Provide guidance on merit system principles, prohibited personnel practices, the development and use of valid selection criteria in support of recruitment and placement processes.
You will conduct briefings and/or informational sessions for managers or the workforce on human resource related topics to foster understanding and acceptance of new and/or revised HR regulations, policies and practices.
You will manage staffing and recruitment data and requirements to ensure hiring goals are achieved in accordance with applicable governmental guidance and objectives.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. analyzing problems, plan and organize work and communicate effectively orally and in writing for Human resource Management.
