Summary This position is located within Regional Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program Deployed Forces Division. The Purpose of this position is to maintain warehouse internal controls: receiving, shipping, documentation, policies, deliveries, MSDS, Scheduling maintenance, pallet jack operations and fork lift operations. Norfolk Naval Station Deployed Forces Support Learn more about this agency Duties Major Duties and Responsibilities: Forklift, pallet jack, vehicle operator Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/maintain inventory, stock, or property account records. Receive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations, and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans. Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply organizations. Process documentation for stock 'item receipts, maintain such items in a warehouse, issue material authorized requestors, keep local stock records/logs, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standard reports such as discrepancies, tracking and perform related stock receipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and nonexpendable items. Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property and perform standardized property management control processes; and/or operate computer terminals or persona' computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections. Virtually all supply systems are automated. Supply technicians must have sufficient knowledge of the automated systems to apply instructions for supply actions such as data entry, reports retrieval, error correction, and searching for specific records. The work is performed through terminal stations and/or personal computers. Requirements Conditions of employment Must pass all applicable records and background check. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent Must possess and maintain a current driver's license Employment is conditional on the successful completion of a National Agency Check or equivalent background check(s) upon selection and periodically thereafter. Must obtain forklift operators licenses within 60 days of hire and obtain periodic renewal. Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations. Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs.A qualified candidate must possess: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and possess a minimum of 3 or more year's documented property inventory control experience. Must be able to add, subtracts multiply and divide accurately. Must be able to read write and understand both written and verbal instructions to interpret guidelines and information reflected on accounting documents. Technical knowledge of plant property procedures and regulations for appropriated and non-appropriated funds as well as formats, forms, acquisitions, and disposition certificates used. Must possess positive written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with subordinates and supervisory/management officials when conducting inventories. Skill in use of personal computers with demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point). Prior related NAF experience is strongly preferred Education High school graduate or equivalent. This position does not have a positive education requirement.
