Summary This position is located at USAG Benelux - MWR, Brussels Fitness Center, Zaventem, Belgium. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Learn more about this agency Duties Serves as Facility Assistant in a fitness facility. Works under the direction of the Fitness Facility Manager. Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Duties include adjusting due to changes in program demands or hours of operation and assisting in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Assists with the inventory of property. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Must able to work evenings, weekends and MWR Special events. Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED; MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair). A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess (1) one of the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Primary: Personal Trainer Certification Secondary: Any other Fitness Certifications Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager.
