6G RAN Systems - Prototyping Engineer
Job Description
About InterDigital
InterDigital develops fundamental wireless technologies that are at the core of mobile devices, networks, and services worldwide. We solve many of the industry's most critical and complex technical challenges, providing solutions for more efficient broadband networks and a richer multimedia experience years ahead of market deployment. InterDigital has strategic relationships with many of the world's leading wireless companies. Founded in 1972, InterDigital is listed on NASDAQ and is included in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index.
Summary
The Future Wireless North America (FWNA) group within InterDigital's Research and Innovation (R&I) organization is responsible leading InterDigital's North American next generation wireless research projects. Our charter is to identify future technology needs, develop and learn from proof-of-concept prototypes, and innovate around a system focus. Today this team is at the leading edge of 6G research.
InterDigital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated wireless engineer to design, simulate and prototype 6G technologies, in which intelligent networks self-optimize to deliver services to users and devices that are tailored to content, context, and connectivity. The selected candidate will design, simulate, and provide proof of concept for novel systems that InterDigital is creating to drive 6G research, including: technology generation, link and system simulation bench development towards cutting-edge wireless technologies and system aspects to enable advanced RAN technologies, ultra-low power cellular system designs, ultra-reliable and low latency connectivity, radio links at higher frequency ranges, integrated RF sensing and communications, heterogeneous network deployments in licensed and unlicensed spectrum; detailed simulation tasks to support beyond 5G and 6G networks; support generation of technical reports, patents and disclosures, publications etc.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Location: Conshohocken, PA or Manhattan, NY - Hybrid options available but must be commutable to one of the office locations listed.
InterDigital is an equal employment opportunity employer. InterDigital will not engage in or tolerate unlawful discrimination with regard to any employment decision, policy or practice based on a person's sex, gender, pregnancy (including childbirth, breastfeeding and related medical conditions), age, race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, military status, veteran status, mental or physical disability, medical condition, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other factor protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
