Lead Accounting Technician

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Resource Management Team at Hill AFB. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee financial transactions, auditing financial documents and ensuring the accuracy of records. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours weekly, and with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave). Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in work which provided comprehensive knowledge of accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting systems encompassing a number of diversified activities and knowledge and understanding of the regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of situations. Must have experience with revenue reconciliation and examination of accounting documentation. Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare correspondences and reports. Must have experience of Microsoft Office programs. Conditions of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication or applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
