Job description
Marshall is seeking a full-time physician assistant with an interest in orthopedics to team up with
an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine and general orthopedics.
The position will be a balance
of clinical and surgical assisting, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Clinic practice
will include performing office visits for pre-op and post- op spine patients, procedures such as
therapeutic injections, casting, fracture reduction, and other procedures, along with managing
clinic patients. Although not a primary day to day function of this role, this position, like the
other Orthopedic PAs at Marshall, will be backup support to the Orthopedic walk-in clinic at
Marshall’s El Dorado Hills location. Our physicians are progressive and make continual improvement
and practice enhancement top priorities, and are therefore open to potential expansion of the role
of the PA.

· Surgical locations: Placerville (Hospital) and Cameron Park
(Ambulatory Surgery Center)
· Assist orthopedist with inpatient, outpatient, and ED cases
during normal business hours at a level III trauma center
· Opportunity to work in close
partnership with a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing
o 90% spine
o 10%
general orthopedics
· Ability to work in a beautiful brand-new outpatient clinic in El Dorado
Hills
· Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
· Strong PPO

· Required:
o Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
o
Graduate of an accredited PA program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education
for the Physician Assistant
o Unrestricted California license
o Certification by the NCCPA
o
EMR Proficient, EPIC preferred
o BLS
o DEA license
