The Village of Potsdam has a population of 10,000, rising to 18,000 when its two local colleges are in session. It is nestled in the St. Lawrence River Valley near the northern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Potsdam is known as a center for health care, education, and retail trade in Northern NY.
