Learn more about this agency Duties The United States Space Force (USSF) at Eglin AFB, Site C-6, Florida is searching for a Supply Chief to support Mission Delta 2 (NH-2003-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: Join the cutting-edge team at the 20th Space Surveillance Squadron at Eglin AFB, Florida, as our new Supply Chief. In this vital role, you will be part of a dynamic team of Guardians, civilians, and contractors supporting the critical mission of Space Domain Awareness. You'll contribute directly to national security by detecting, tracking, and identifying satellites for U.S. and Allied forces, all while living and working on the beautiful Emerald Coast, just minutes from the white-sand beaches of Destin and Panama City Beach. As the Supply Chief, you will lead the logistics team, planning and directing daily supply operations that are crucial to our mission's success. Your expertise will be essential in managing budgets, overseeing complex supply transactions, and administering interrelated technical programs that support our one-of-a-kind phased array radar system. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of supply/FM programs, with demonstrated skill in applying analytical methods to measure efficiency, resolve complex issues, and manage supply data. This individual must also have strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to independently plan and prioritize work, and a working knowledge of government software for tracking inventory and creating reports. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a U.S Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”. This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first. Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments. PCS / relocation funding is authorized. Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days a year. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
