Specialty: Internal Medicine Physician Location: California Job Category: Locum Tenens Number of Positions: 1 Position Overview: We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to join our primary care team in a locum tenens capacity. The successful candidate will practice in an outpatient-only setting with access to state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Primary Responsibilities: Consult with patients to determine appropriate treatment. Recommend and order diagnostic tests as needed. Monitor lab results, medication adherence, and potential toxicities. Prescribe and administer treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations. Discuss procedures, test results, and prescribed treatments with patients. Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary. Represent the practice at hospital committees, sharing meeting responsibilities with the physician team. Schedule: Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Call Ratio: Balanced call ratio shared among physicians and sites Daily Patient Census: Approximately 18 patients per day Qualifications: Board-certified in Internal Medicine Active medical license to practice in California Proven experience in a primary care setting Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Location Benefits: Northern California offers an abundance of recreational and leisure options, ideal for a healthy and active lifestyle.
