If selected, you must meet the following conditions:
Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or NonÂCareer SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service.
Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 5 investigation level).
Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA OIG employee. We will the Department of Homeland Security's e-Verify system for this. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.

The work requires occasionally working near and/or being exposed to operating machinery during space construction. The work may occasionally require recurring bending and crouching in small spaces during inspections or evaluating viability of areas in workspace. The incumbent may encounter a moderate risk involving hazard areas where electric wiring is exposed during inspections.
Qualifications
The GS-14 salary range starts at $139,395Â per year.
To qualify at the GS-14 level, a candidate must have experience that demonstrates at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience in the acquisition, construction, maintenance, repair, renovation, and disposal of office space and application of the regulations governing facilities and space management. Such experience must include all of the following.
Carrying out the full range of construction administration and project management functions
Developing, reviewing, and approving project scopes and construction documents for accuracy and quality
Advising on complex life/safety, continuity of operations, and health issues that impact facilities and space management
Developing space requirements, including all aspects of interior design, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and audio/visual packages and the application of electrical, HVAC, and data cabling requirements
Leading space alteration and tenant relocation projects
Inspecting facilities to review contractor performance and to assess condition and maintenance needs
Developing standard operating procedures and document management procedures pertaining to facilities and space management
