Job Summary:
The Certified Registered Nurse
Anesthetist administers general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care. Performs
anesthesia-related procedures at the discretion of and under the supervision of an attending
anesthesiologist.
Pre-anesthesia assessment and medication
Requesting laboratory/diagnostic
studies
Administering general anesthesia including but limited to general anesthesia, epidural,
caudal, upper and lower extremities and nerve blocks.
Excellent understanding and skills with
sedation techniques
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management
Invasive and noninvasive
monitoring
Provides Post anesthesia care/discharge

involving anesthesiologist, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), and student registered

Education and Experience Required:Â
Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program
accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
Insurable by an
appropriate medical malpractice insurer as required by the state of Indiana.
Mandatory
Licensure/Certifications:Â
Must hold current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of
Indiana.
Must comply with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements.
