Summary This position is located at NAF Support Management/Information Technology. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Learn more about this agency Duties Provide technical support duties to customer support personnel. Serves as a help desk representative. Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents. Researches, evaluates, and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains customer hardware and software. Provides training and instruction to enhance user performance. Sets system security levels based on under performance and appropriate regulations. Develops and documents standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation procedures and policies. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Complete Comptia Security+ Certification within the first 90 days of employment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess one (1) year of experience that provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions, system installation and general management principles that enabled you to understand the stages required to automate a work process. The experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. *This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. OR Completed a two-year degree with a major course of study in computer science, information science, information systems management, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. *Transcripts must be uploaded at the time of application. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Completed Comptia Security+ Certification. *Certificate must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered best qualified. **Applicants who meet both the minimum qualifications and best qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official first. Education If qualifying based on education transcripts must be uploaded at the time of application. Additional information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who are in the local commuting area (U.S. Citizens and Non U.S. Citizens that live within 50 miles of Ft. Rucker, AL). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
