Hospital Medicine PA Opportunity at Level I Trauma Center in IL

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our growing Hospitalist Team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Position details include:

• Dedicated team of APPs that collaborate with Hospitalist physicians to care for observation and inpatient hospital patients.
• 12 hour shifts
• Mostly day / evening (8a-8p) shift hours, but must be open to eventually participate in swing shift and night shift rotations in the future as the group plans to expand
• 4 weekend shifts per 4 week blocks
• 3 holidays per year

Educational/Experience Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant
• At least 1 year of APP experience in Hospital Medicine or ED required

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Current Illinois Physician Assistant
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must satisfactorily complete all continuing education including NIH Stroke Scale certification regarding the care of acute stroke patients
