EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Duties You will manage complex subsystems and provide technical guidance on equipment operations, maintenance, and support. You will participate in validating technical publications and defining initial provisioning requirements. You will evaluate equipment capabilities and recommend design modifications as needed. You will prepare and update funding documentation for spare parts throughout the program's life cycle. You will work closely with various organizations to support logistics and equipment provisioning processes. You will serve as the primary contact for equipment operators and maintainers for technical support and guidance. You will ensure the integration of provisioning data into automated systems for operational use. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or NH-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Lead AND/OR manage equipment life cycle activities, providing technical support on operations and maintenance, AND/OR collaborates with teams to ensure proper provisioning, funding, and system integration throughout the program.
