About the Position: The incumbent provides a full range of procurement analyst services/oversight for the 419th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB) Contracting Operations Division and subordinate contracting offices. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement approximately 15% of the time. Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. This is an Army Acquisition Workforces (AAW) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements for Contracting Professional Certification within 36 months of entry on duty. OR Exemption:You are exempt from the education requirements above if: (A) a current civilian employee in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department ON or BEFORE September 30, 2000; OR (B) I am a current military member who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent)-1102 ON or BEFORE September 30, 2000. AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience Required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Analyzing procurement data involving complicated contracts to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance; (2) Utilizing automated systems to identify statistical trends or spend analysis to promote strategic sourcing; AND (3) Analyzing contract data to identify procurement issues and recommend corrective action. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-13, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
