Urgent Care Telehealth Medical Director Physician

Description Specialization:Urgent CareJob Summary:CareNow Urgent Care is recruiting an Urgent Care Medical Director to oversee the telehealth program with demonstrated leadership qualities to join the management team within our Houston market. The position is a hybrid role of providing telehealth patient care either in clinic or remote (70%) and administrative duties to support the growth of the telehealth program (30%). The position will require the candidate to be housed in the Houston/surrounding area as administrative duties require time spent in office. As the lead physician for this team under the direction of executive leadership, it is important that the following traits and skills are demonstrated: Experience with telehealth preferredProven role as a motivator of peers to achieve the highest levels of care and serviceExcellent clinical skills and work historyProven ability to build a highly functioning teamAbility to implement strategic policies, enhance processes for growth, provider performance, and clinical excellenceUnderstanding of corporate structure and willingness/capacity to work with the executive leadership and team members to achieve goalsProvider required to obtain licenses in multiple states in order to cover multiple marketsSupport in developing a sales and growth planQuality oversight on a national levelSupport recruitment efforts to identify quality providers that are interested in providing telehealth servicesGuiding EMR and operational workflowSystem and process training of new and existing providersOversight of telehealth providers and staffDefine clinical and quality measures for all telehealth providersBuild clinical scorecard for telehealth services in partnership with other telehealth stakeholders to measure/monitor provider efficiency and success metricsMange provider staffing ratios to support current and future growth of the program Qualified Candidates: Residency in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Med/Peds from accredited school of medicine or osteopathy programExperience in an urgent care, telehealth, or similar setting Previous leadership experience a plusUrgent care, telehealth, and occupational medicine experienceEligible for licensure to practice medicine in Texas with Board Certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds.Position will function a dual administrative/clinical role under the direction of the executive leadership Incentive/Benefits Package:Generous compensation package includes competitive pay, flexible work schedule, comprehensive benefit package, time away from work.
