LPN/LVN - Contract Long Term Care (13-Week) — Silver City, NM — Nights

Ref #: C-LPN-9076192 Join a Silver City, NM healthcare team on a 13‑week contract (non‑travel), starting ASAP. This LPN position is scheduled evenings (06:00 PM–06:30 AM) with a local rate of $1,242 per 36 hours. Required credentials: Active Licensed Practical Nurse state license BLS certification Key responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician oversight, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring. Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and participate in individualized care planning. Monitor and document patient status, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records. Perform wound evaluation, cleaning, dressing changes, and surveillance for infection or complications. Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and assist with diagnostic procedures as directed. Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, self‑care, and preventive health measures. Support patient comfort and safety (positioning, mobility assistance, pain management) and respond to emergencies using established protocols. Follow infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team—RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff—to coordinate care. When assigned, supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure quality care. Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and perform other duties as assigned by management.
