Summary The incumbent will serve as a Support Operations Coordinator located in the Office of the Managing Director, Special Operations, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and coordinates the investigative work of the agency with local, state, and Federal law enforcement, public safety, emergency management, and similar agencies. Provide day-to-day operational mission support that enables investigative readiness, continuity of operations,, and effective accident and incident response. Learn more about this agency Duties As a Support Operations Coordinator,GS-0301-12, you will perform the following major duties: At the GS-12, in addition to duties at the lower grade level, typical duties may include:-- Provide coordination and operational support for programs that enable investigative readiness and response. Apply subject-matter expertise to support special operations, documentation, logistics, and coordination in accordance with established policies and procedures. Deploys the agency "GO Team" to provide on-scene operational expertise and mission support to the Division, investigative teams, and partnering public agencies. Assist with coordination, information sharing, and execution of investigative support activities during accident/incident investigations. Support evidence handling activities by coordinating, documenting, tracking, and facilitating evidence movement and processing in accordance with established policies and procedures. Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must meet the following Basic Requirements: Applicants must possess one year of Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Working collaboratively with investigators and representatives of Federal, state, Tribal, local law-enforcement, and regulatory organizations to provide authoritative guidance, coordinate actions, and resolve operational problems; serve as on-scene team member for transportation accidents providing evidence related operations; and drafts briefings and presentations conveying investigative operational related information or diverse audiences.
