Summary This position is located at Financial Management Branch, Fort Bragg, NC. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Army NAF paysetting rules apply to this vacancy. Learn more about this agency Duties Works under general supervision performing day to day administrative and technical budget functions in accordance with appropriated and non-appropriated fund regulatory requirements. Uses required / applicable automation software and hardware to perform analytical, technical, and administrative tasks required during phases of the budgetary and execution process. Insures APF and NAF operating fiscal budgets are fully synchronized and balanced according to fund sources and executes, monitors, coordinates, and provides oversight to the operating and reimbursable budget programs. Researches, verifies, and revises budget/program data, as required, for correct budget/program submission and execution. Prepares written funding justifications, consolidates budget requests, requests additional funds, and monitors expenditures against obligations. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Subject to OGE-450 disclosure filing. Ability to obtain and maintain Financial Management certification as directed by IMCOM-DFMWR. Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Progressively responsible work experience in budget or finance that provided the applicant the knowledge of appropriated fund and/or non-appropriated fund regulations on budgetary processes and requirements. The work experience must also demonstrate the knowledge and ability to balance funds between accounts; i.e., transferring funds between line items or sub-projects or identifying excess funds for possible transfer to other operating programs. Demonstrated work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Must have excellent organizational skills; be highly skilled in written and verbal communications and able to deal tactfully and effectively with employees in all levels of the organization. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other software as required, and be able to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess experience that provided a thorough understanding of the substantive nature of the Army's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) and community and family support operating programs and their interrelationships and funding channels. Possess at least four (4) years of degree or equivalent professional experience in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
