Summary
This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for assessing the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of DTRA programs supporting DoD Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response (CHMR) activities within the scope of DTRA's mission space.

- May be required to perform periodic (up to 30%) TDY (CONUS and OCONUS). The employee must be willing to comply with each Combatant Command (COCOM) travel medical requirement to include vaccinations.
- Performance during non-standard hours and weekends is anticipated.
- Valid Passport required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Applying knowledge of civil-military relations, and/or collateral damage assessment and analysis;
- Planning, organizing, and leading studies, including leading others in studies and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations;
- Communicating both orally and in writing with technical accuracy to discuss and negotiate complex issues at the senior levels of leadership; and
- Applying knowledge of a Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response Action Plan.
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Applying knowledge of civil-military relations, and/or collateral damage assessment and analysis;
- Planning, organizing, and leading studies; and
- Communicating both orally and in writing with technical accuracy to discuss and negotiate complex issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
