Locum Tennes Pathology Opportunity

Specialty: PathologyLocation: MichiganWe are currently seeking a Pathologist to join our team on a locum basis. This hospital-based position offers a structured schedule with rotating call and is ideal for someone with experience in handling various pathology cases, including GI biopsies, breast biopsies, and neuropathology. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Call: Alternating weekly (Friday 5:00 PM to the following Friday 8:00 AM) Start Date: As soon as credentialed (credentialing typically takes 30 days, prioritized by start date) Orientation: One day Responsibilities: Approximately 35-50 cases read daily Grossing own specimens and cutting own frozen sections on Cryostat Common procedures include hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, blood bank Must handle GI biopsies, breast biopsies, and neuropathology Frequent frozen section requests for neurosurgical cases during both daytime and on-call hours Anatomic Pathology procedures: Surgical pathology, GI pathology, GU pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Cytology Clinical Support: 1 full time pathologist in addition to locum Current pathologist works in tandem with locum Supported by Histotechnologists EMR and Dictation Tools: NovoPath Allscripts Sunrise Requirements: AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist Experience preferred Case logs required Additional Details: Will consider IMLC candidates Credentialing timeframe typically 30 days This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment while providing high-quality pathology services.If this sounds like a role you'd be interested in, please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
