Summary This position is with NAF Support Services - Fort Riley, Kansas. Support the team that provides MWR programs for our military and their families! By offering Information Technology services, diagnosis and troubleshooting, your contributions will keep the systems online and available. Recreation and business activities rely on IT services to get the job done everyday! Duties Provide technical support duties to customer support personnel by diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents. Researches, evaluates, and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain customer hardware and software and provide training and instruction to enhance user performance. Provides training and instruction to enhance user performance. Set system security levels based on under performance and appropriate regulations. Develops and documents standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation procedures and policies. Assists end-user to properly operate Rec Trac and CYMS databases. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Must be willing and able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be available and willing to work nights weekends and holidays when required. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Experience that provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions, system installation and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. OR Completion of a two year degree with a major course of study in computer science, information science, information systems management, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. Highly Preferred Qualification: 1) 1 year experience on how to operate Vermont System databases RecTrac & CYSM 10.3 2) 1 year experience in IT diagnosing/troubleshooting (CPU, monitors, printers, etc) 3) Current A+ and Security+ certifications.
