Learn more about this agency Duties You will gather, analyze, and develop specialized information about assigned equipment. You will determine performance requirements, configuration, maintenance methods and special processes/inspections. You will perform visual, dimensional, operational tests and inspections. You will inspect equipment after limited technical inspection (LTI) by contractor. You will compile and evaluate test data and design specifications to determine practical changes and the maintenance procedures required to support the equipment during usage state. You will develop and/or modifies sampling plans and surveillance procedures, inspection checklists, and other guides for reviewing technical data. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in collection, analysis, interpretation, and development of specialized information for military ground tactical electronics equipment and supplies. Knowledge of the characteristics, properties, and uses of military ground tactical electronics equipment, to include but not limited to, tactical communications equipment (VHF, UHF, Microwave, Digital Wideband, Tropospheric), tactical networking equipment, general purpose test equipment and related electronics maintenance tools and support equipment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related Additional information This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
