Learn more about this agency Duties You will serve as an Acquisition Manager in support of PEO C4I and its associated program offices (PMW's). You will demonstrate knowledge and experience with the Adaptive Acquisition Framework to include pathway selection, tailoring and program execution. You will be responsible for requirements definition, science and technology transition, and execution/progression of various programs and projects that provide Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence capabilities. You will be responsible for providing oversight on all assigned PMW acquisition related documentation, issues and actions. You will work with the Acquisition Management Office (AMO) to ensure that all assigned PMW programs are structured in accordance with the latest acquisition guidance, and all PMW funded efforts are properly categorized. You will review all acquisition documentation and make recommendations to the Program Manager (PM) on best acquisition structures and strategies for programs and projects. You will manage the acquisition related processes in the Program Management Office (PMW) to achieve the PMs goals as promulgated by PEO C4I. You will assist in the development and the establishment of new processes when necessary to support new goals. You will manage a team of government and contractor personnel, personnel of higher rank or grade, have increased fiscal responsibility-based of level of programs managed. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying the Adaptive Acquisition Framework to include pathway selection, tailoring and program execution; AND integrating requirements definition, science and technology transition, and execution/progression of various programs and projects that provide Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence capabilities to the Warfighter. Section 1109 of the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2020 Public Law 116-92 amended Section 9905 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.) to streamline and simplify certain Department of Defense civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain positions in the competitive service in the Department of Defense. This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4. In accordance with NAVWAR Echelon II compensation model, this position has been classified as a DP-04 Control Point position with a salary cap to the GS-14 Step 10 equivalent. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the pay band, including higher responsibility positions. Based on the responsibilities of this position, the total adjusted salary may be capped equivalent to GS 14 Step 10 (currently $186,785)" pay band, including higher responsibility positions.
