Summary About the Position: This position is for Lead of Laboratory Informatics and is located within the DHA Assistant Director(AD) Health Care Administration HCA, Digital Health Integration Office (DHIO) and is located in Falls Church, VA, San Antonio, TX, OR Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced In Hire may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Learn more about this agency Duties Analyze, evaluate, advise, and coordinate healthcare delivery systems and operations in relation to the DOD (Department of Defense) and VA's EHR (Electronic Health Records) implementation. Oversee major programs, including the transition from legacy systems to MHS GENESIS, optimization of laboratory workflows, and deployment of health information technology (IT) to new laboratory facilities. Conduct research to develop and implement appropriate solutions. Lead and mentor team of professionals providing issue resolution for more than 500 global DOD (Department of Defense) laboratories. Lead coordination efforts to ensure cohesive policy implementation across the Federal healthcare space. Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders ensuring effective communication. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1)Performing system resolutions for optimal performance; (2)Providing program oversight for all electronic health records systems aspects of laboratory modules such as General Laboratory, Blood Bank and Transfusion, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, and/or Anatomic Pathology; (3)Collaborating with external laboratory systems for system consistency; AND (4) Training new team members to meet enterprise needs This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
