Ref #: C-LPN-9078600 Location: Clovis, NM Type: Contract / Non-Travel Start: ASAP Duration: 6 weeks Schedule: Mon–Fri, 07:00 AM–03:30 PM Rate: Local: $1,264 / 40 hours Requirements: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license BLS certification Core responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician guidance (medication administration, wound care, vital signs). Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and participate in care planning. Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments accurately per protocols. Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications. Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report changes. Maintain accurate patient records of condition changes, treatments, and medications. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures. Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure IV line integrity. Provide catheter care, including insertion assistance, maintenance, and monitoring for issues. Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care. Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management. Respond to emergencies following protocols and provide basic life support as needed. Follow infection control practices and use PPE appropriately. Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations. Advocate for patient rights and needs. May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned. Participate in ongoing education to maintain current nursing knowledge. Other duties as assigned by management.
