Position: Locum Tenens General SurgeonLocation: South CarolinaCoverage Dates: Various Dates Available (Contact for Specific Dates) Job Overview We are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage on a locum basis. This role is primarily for emergency cases that arise in the ER, with no scheduled surgeries. The hospital sees a low call volume (10-15 calls per day) and minimal surgical cases, allowing the locum to provide high-quality care with manageable demands. Assignment Details Coverage: 24-hour General Surgery Call Responsibilities: Emergency cases only, low call volume (10-15 calls per day) Comfortable handling upper and lower endoscopies Comfortable with basic laparoscopic procedures Some trauma stabilization, with transfers to the main campus as needed EMR System: Epic Provider Requirements Certification: Board Certified in General Surgery Licensure: Active South Carolina Medical License CSR License: Required DEA: Must be permanently registered in South Carolina (privileges will be suspended if DEA is registered in another state) To Apply:Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting a CV for immediate consideration.
