Summary
Picatinny Arsenal Hiring Event : Interviews will be held on site. Applicants must bring resume (must be two pages or less)., social security card, photo ID, transcripts, two professional references, work authorization (Ages 14-17) and/or proof of education.

Duties
As head lifeguard, oversees the accomplishment of work and evaluate pool operation efficiencies.
Assist manager by insuring adequate staffing of operations with personnel and the safety of users. Directs lifeguards as required in the performance of their duties.
Performs checks and makes adjustments in water quality levels and ensures that the pump rooms are maintained and operational.
As lifeguard, responsible for the life guarding of guests at the pools. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Coordinates and conducts aquatic swimming and water survival training.
Enforces and carries out policy and requirements. Issues towels and checks identification as required. Responsible for the safeguarding and protection of funds, property and personnel.

Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity.
Satisfactorily completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 which may also require to compete a Tier 1 background investigation.
Must have a current health assessment which documents good physical health, freedom from communicable disease IAW current Army.
In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period.
Availability to work weekends, weekdays, holidays and night hours.
Available to work the full Summer Season from May 30th to September 5th, 2026.
a Physical/Medical examination is required.
Applicant must be able to lift 40lbs.
In addition, the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
Qualifications:
A Head Lifeguard must hold a current lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification.
Within 6 months of hire must obtain a pool operator's license.
A Lifeguard Instructor certificate is preferred. Must have 12 months of experience in pool operation as a lifeguard with experience in swimming instruction and pool maintenance.
Must be able to use sound judgment, accomplish tasks within established time frames, and possess good people skills requiring the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner.
Must have experience with office functions such as preparing and managing reports.
These certificates must be reflected on your resume and can be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position. Applicants must obtain valid certificates by May 15, 2026.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
