Summary Veteran's preference does not apply to DHA recruitment Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for more information The primary purpose of this position is to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate complex systems of electronic digital computer systems and their components and peripheral devices. Learn more about this agency Duties Plans and lays out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders. Performs pretest, operational (functional), and testing; tuning; alignments; and/or calibration of complex electronic digital systems, components, and/or subassemblies. Installs, overhauls, repairs, fabricates, and/or modifies electronically controlled industrial systems, digital computer processors, components, and/or subassemblies. Performs preventative maintenance on electronical control systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration. Utilizes safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a sale, clean and secure work environment. The work may require the employee to operate (with training) specialized vehicles, such as motorized maintenance platforms, "high reached", or other types of lifts. The position may require the employee to work under adverse environmental conditions. Will be required to train/guide lower grade (or other trades) military/civilian employees. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation And Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Someone that has worked in the industry/trade with multiple years of experience, is "Qualified" IAW UFC 3-601-02 holds a certification, a license or manufacturer's training and additionally electrical, and controls experience. Adherence to all facility work rules and housekeeping/cleanliness. Demonstrates working knowledge and adherence to Arc-Flash and LOTO requirements. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
