Locums Hematology Physician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hematology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Rockford, IL. This position primarily involves outpatient clinic work, with some inpatient rounding and on-call responsibilities. The role will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of hematological conditions, with some oncology coverage as well.  The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On-call duties are part of the position, with a normal rotation of 1:4 for weekends. Additionally, there is one day of call during the week when not on weekend call. The workload consists of 13-15 patients per day, primarily in the clinic, with some inpatient rounding required. The need is primarily for hematology coverage, with some oncology care, as well as the management of patients currently undergoing treatment. Qualifications: Board Certification/Board Eligible: Board Certified in Hematology (required) Licensure: Active Illinois State Medical License (required) Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Hematology Rockford is a vibrant city in northern Illinois, known for its rich history, scenic parks, and cultural attractions.
