Cardiovascular Surgery APP Needed in Michigan

Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery APP (NP/PA) Location: Michigan Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team. This role involves both clinic and hospital responsibilities, offering a comprehensive opportunity to work closely with a leading cardiovascular surgery team. Key Responsibilities: Schedule: ASAP start Orientation and EMR training: One business day Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Night and weekend call coverage Responsibilities: Bread and butter open heart surgery Conduct inpatient rounding to support the cardiovascular surgery team Perform vein harvesting Serve as a first assistant in various cardiovascular procedures EMR Systems: Clinic - Athena Hospital - Sunrise Allscripts Qualifications: Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Experience Required: A minimum of 50 cardiovascular surgery cases within the past 12 months. Licensing: Must have or be eligible for Michigan state licensure. Candidates with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license will be considered. Credentialing Information: The credentialing process typically takes 30 days, with applications prioritized based on the start date.
