Role and Responsibilities:
As a Behavioral Health Nurse (RN), you will be critical in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders. Your responsibilities will include:

Working closely with individuals of all ages to assess their needs, develop care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness and stability.
Advocating for patients and contributing to their holistic treatment and recovery.

As a Mental Health Technician, you will support the healthcare team by:

Assisting in patient care activities, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
Monitoring patients' conditions and providing support during their treatment journey.

Requirements for Behavioral Health Nurse (RN):
Minimum Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing – Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Preferred

Certification:

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
Handle with Care Certification or CPI (within 90 days of hire) – Required
ACLS – Preferred

Licensure:

Valid licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or multi-state/compact RN license

Requirements for Mental Health Technicians:
Minimum Education:

High school diploma or GED – Required
Associate degree in a related field – Preferred

Certification:

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
Handle with Care Certification or CPI (within 90 days of hire) – Required

Work Environment:

Fast-paced healthcare settings include psychiatric facilities, outpatient clinics, and St. Francis Medical Group community hospitals.
Potential exposure to challenging patient behaviors and emotionally charged situations.
Regular collaboration with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
